The 5th "Impression of Yangcheng" Guangzhou International Microfilm Competition, directed by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and co-sponsored by the Guangzhou Federation of Literature and Culture and the Guangzhou Television Artists Association, held its general award ceremony at the gorgeous Guangzhou Library in Guangzhou's Zhujiang New Town after two months of public screenings and judging.
After years of efforts, the Yangcheng Impression Award has become an influential microfilm official awards in South China, and has also become an important platform for film and television workers to "benefit the people with literature and art", with a high degree of authority and pro-people interaction.

Chen Ben
Born in Guangzhou in 1959, Chen Ben is a director of the Guangdong Artists Association, executive director of the Guangzhou Artists Association, deputy director of the Oil Painting Art Committee, member of the Guangdong Photographers Association, and a member of the Guangzhou Photographers Association.
Chen Ben does not stick to the cultural limitations of one time and place. He combines the oriental elements of lotus and goldfish with the traditional western art of oil painting. The use of canvas and pigment but the painting of ink and wash mood of the oil painting, is a different way of artistic exploration, but also formed its unique artistic style.
Chen originally specialized in oil painting techniques, but also loved the mood of ink painting, looking for ways to integrate the two. By chance, he saw the lotus in the slanting sun in the Summer Palace, and was deeply moved, and from then on, his creation with the theme of "lotus" was unstoppable. After continuous attempts, Chen Ben's style of painting lotus gradually precipitated. With the thick oil painting carrier, he utilizes the aesthetics of Chinese ink painting's scattered perspective, and the processing techniques of flying white air and ethereal imagery to express the clear, transparent, and spiritual lotus. This confrontation has resulted in a marvelous "chemical reaction".

The "Best Film" award at the 5th Yangcheng Impression Award was won by the Sichuan film "Zero Dollar Rent". The Best Actor was awarded to Xiao Xuzhong, the star of the Qingyuan film Weiwei, the Best Actress was awarded to Beijing actress Chen Hani (Carp Bottle), the Best Director was awarded to Jiang Qilong (Shanxi film Old Razor), and the Best Public Welfare Movie was awarded to Guizhou Qiannan film Love in Changshun, and the Guangzhou garbage classification film I'm a Garbage Canister, which won the award in a tie.
The "Impression of Yangcheng" Guangzhou International Microfilm Competition Award Ceremony invited Mr. Chen Ben, a local artist in Guangzhou, to be the guest of honor for the "Best Actress" award. Such a "cross-border" is a reflection of the current "Impression of Yangcheng" in its purpose and the bold innovation of humanities and art echo each other.
