Pulchérie
I have lived with brushes and colors since I was 20 years old.
Because I was a science student, I needed something a little less substantial (or tangible, inherently formative), and perhaps that's when my desire for artistic expression began.
I decided to take the plunge and I haven't stopped painting since.
I am completely self nurturing (self taught) and have not been instructed in techniques (maneuvers) before.
From an image, I use acrylics on canvas to shape an idea, which usually comes from the surroundings.
I really love human faces, children, and flowers, so all of my artwork is focused on those elements.
Through my work, one can see that I put a lot of emphasis and focus on the combination of realism and abstraction.
I'm a French woman of African descent and I speak three languages, French, English and Chinese, so I get to interact with different people and cultures, which is really inspiring for me, and maybe that's what inspires me creatively.
I am quite sure that my work will be a universal language: it expresses the emotions (feelings), ideas and beauty (goodness) of human life.
I'm living with paintbrushes and paint colors since I was 20.
Maybe my thirst of artistic expression has begun at this moment because I was Science student and I need something less concrete.
I decided to try it...but I never could stop painting.
Totally self-educated, I use to work without predefined technique.
I use acrylic on a canvas to shape one idea from a photo, one idea from an ambiance.
I really like human faces, children and flowers, so I had dedicated my whole artwork to them.
Through my paintings people can realize that I appreciate the mix between realism and abstract art.
I'm a French woman with African roots. I speak 3 languages, French, English and Chinese so I can communicate with different people and cultures. It's truly inspirational for me.
I'm pretty sure that my artwork result from an universal language about people feelings, thoughts and beauty of life.
