Every December, galleries, artists, art publishers, collectors and art enthusiasts from all over the world converge on Miami, the south coast of the United States, for the annual Miami Beach Art Week.

The Red Dot Miami Art Fair has been around for 11 years since its inception in 2006. Unlike other art fairs, Red Dot Miami annually selects 50 featured galleries from around the world and exhibits the work of nearly 300 artists in painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance art and more, covering all aspects of contemporary art; attracting nearly 30,000 people to join in over the past five days and playing its own unique role during Miami Art Week. Born in Guangzhou in 1959, Chen Ben is a director of the Guangdong Artists Association, executive director of the Guangzhou Artists Association, deputy director of the Oil Painting Art Committee, member of the Guangdong Photographers Association, and a member of the Guangzhou Photographers Association.

Chen Ben's images are surprising. Perhaps, when he walks in the city and faces these original ecologies that we are so familiar with, he is more concerned with the discovery of the aesthetic level. Indeed, after his careful selection and management, the "beauty" presented by the images is enough to challenge the aesthetic experience of the traditional concept of art. "and "color block".
Later, art critics, sociologists and urbanists joined in. They discovered the sociological significance of Chen Ben's images beyond their aesthetic dimension. Some scholars read in the images the meaning of "competition" for survival, while others saw a strange intersection in the images between the artist and the ordinary urban laborer - two originally balanced life trajectories.
It is a very interesting process to move from the aesthetic level to the sociological and urban level. From it we can appreciate the characteristics of contemporary art - full of misinterpretation, uncertainty and different possibilities at the same time.
