Prejudice is a series of photographs by Hungarian photographer Noell S. Oszvald, who only shoots in black and white because she finds color distracting. Her work is therefore very simple in form and composition.
When asked about the connotations behind Prejudice, Oszald shared, "The inspiration for the theme of Prejudice came long before I shot it and I was apprehensive. I was afraid that people would nitpick and call me ignorant because the photos aren't very detailed." Oszald's beautiful, even somewhat somber imagery is a blend of emotions that are steeped in the fertile ground of conceptual photography, offering the viewer a flash of something uniquely personal and relatable.Oszland explains, "I don't want to tell people outright what they should be looking at in my work, which is why I never add titles or descriptions to my work. What I express is something that everyone is free to feel what the imagery is saying to them. It's the thousand different interpretations of the same imagery that are the most valuable."
So what did you, uh, realize?
